I have twenty years of experience supporting writing clients of all backgrounds, genres, and capacities: professionals, students, jobseekers, and retirees; journalists, novelists, biographers, and academics.

I have eight years of contracted experience supervising and training writers in creative, corporate, educational, and research settings.

Hourly and daily rates

I am equal parts tutor (hourly rate), and consultant (combination rate).

My services are most effective in combination: a discussion of your writing goals allows me to approach your work with a fuller sense of its purpose.

This is how I prefer to work, and why my daily rate includes free consultations.

My daily rate for editing is $215 / £160 (consulting included).

My hourly rate for consulting is $40 / £25 (one hour deducted from daily rate).

We will answer certain questions:

“How long will it take?”—You can learn about my process here.

“What if I change my mind?”—Your work is your vessel; change direction anytime. You can update the work schedule during or between booked sessions.

Daily rate: $215 / £160, including consultations

The perks are threefold:

I collaborate—Interact with my live edits on Google Docs.

I communicate—Call, text, or email me between 9am and 9pm on your booked day.

I come through—Meet every deadline with your best work, understand the process in order to repeat and innovate on it.

Consultation: an hour, any time

Send me five pages of your work at least 24 hours before the consultation.

We negotiate goals and set deadlines.

I send you a recurring daily contract, including an itemised work schedule.

Iteration: 9am—9pm

I progress through the work schedule.

I suggest edits using “track changes” and explain them in comments.

I update the work schedule after each draft.
